signum with a problem

hi there i am new to all of this i have a signum 2.2 direct
i brought the car as a none runner
i have changed all of the bent valves and the chain etc
the car runs fine untill you start to drive now it has come up with a few codes one being lamda and another being fuel pressure regulator. i havent got any diagonstics anymore but when you go up the road it jurks and wont rev above 3000rpm and then goes into safe mode.

if anybody knows of anything please help im at my wits end!!!!

Sounds like the high pressure fuel pump to me.

hi mate the 2.2 direct suffers from fpr and hp fuel pump probs if i was you i would change the fpr first there was a re call of sorts for the fpr not long ago may be worth a phone call to your nearest vaux dealer see if you can get it done under the recall first if not go for the fpr first then if it dont fix the problem next on your list would prob be the hp fuel pump

hi there thanks for the tips ive changed the fuel pressure regulator and still no joy so it looks like ive got to spend another £400 on the pump

buy 1 off ebay mate there not hard to fit think there is a how to on here its only 3 bolts and 1 or 2 pipes mind de presurise the fuel first
