Default Signum CDTi150 - No heating?

I went to Alton Towers today, and en-route everything was working as per usual with the heater.
On leaving, i turned the dial to 'hot' and the air temp didn't change from the 'cold' setting.
Basically, the heater temp dial isn't making any ounce of difference to the air temp, all i get is cold.
When i turn it from hot to cold, i can hear a 'click' noise from behind the dash (heat flap opening/closing?).
Ive checked the engine over and the fluid levels ok and flowing, the temp is hovering between 0-80 as per usual so im baffled.

    Has anyone got any suggestions?
Im seriously at my wits end with the car now. Ive only owned it a year, and it already needs nearly 2.5k worth of repairs!!
    - worst car ever owned by far.

    Thanks,
    S.

given you have flow and engine temp ok then i guess we can rule out water pump failure / thermostat issues.

other than that i's say initially i'd suspect the control unit is faulty being stuck in the cold position

    anyone else got any suggestions?

the car would overheat with a dodgy waterpump wouldn't it?

My money is on a dodgy servo.

Thanks for the rapid replies so far guys.
Ive checked the coolant hoses, and they felt hot, also the water was visibly moving in the coolant bottle whilst revving the engine.

How could i find out if its the servo causing problems?
If so, is it an expensive fix (as everything on this car seems to be )

    Cheers,
    S.

my heater flap got stuck in the cold position last week, you could hear a click when i turned the heating control to hot, i removed the glove box to expose the control arm & motor, gave it a wobble & hey presto it started operating again, gave the linkage a quick squirt of oil & it's been fine since.

might be worth a go mr-s

    Thanks for that.
I don't suppose you have any pics of the control arm and motor's location, so i know what im looking for?
Also, how easy is the glovebox to remove?

    Cheers,
    S.
