Default Under Bonnet Lights & Footwell Lights...

Will do a proper How2 no doubt but a couple of pics of my progress today. Did the footwell lights then got bored so started the under bonnet ones...

Not finished yet as my mate was supposed to blow in under the bonnet but when i got up to his garage he was too busy ... Its going to be for free of course tho so i'll let him off...

Fitted the switch to the battery box to kill the light, Just in case i'm working for a bit under the bonnet... Alarm Pin switch fitted to the wing for the earth point so they will come on as soon as the bonnets opened

Wont be sprayed now till next Sat But it gives time for the other LED boards to turn up and my Frosted PVC sheets

Also, see this link if you need another option for the Footwell lights power rather then connecting to the bulb holders

Ah. I thought you were just going to wire it up to switched negative for the alarm. Is that a switch on the underside of the bonnet too?

I was going to just use the alarm pin switch, but if i've got my head under the bonnet for an hour i dont want them permanently on, so switch is to turn them fully off...

And that the same switch on the bonnet, was my 1st plan, but you cant feed the power wire up to that as the bonnet skins touch. but the switch on the battery box is hidden so maybe a little better...

Would there be enough room to put a 5w side light bulb under there?

Possibly... But there's only about a 1cm gap tho between the top skin and the holes in the bracing...

I've got 3 of these, and one more hopefully turning up tomo...

Sticking them directly to the upper skin, then the frosted lenses are to be screwed in over the 4 cut outs... Hopefully it'll look kinda factory rather then some led strips rammed everywhere....

My plan was to piggyback the side lights as the under bonnet lights so the leds dont flicker

Piggy backing still causes flashing tho when the lights arent on. Even if the standard side light bulbs are in place.......
