    Default 1.9cdti misfire

Any help or advice on this problem, would be gratefully accepted as i am at a loss to what actually is the problem.
    I have a 2006 1.9cdti vectra 8v,which i can only discribe,has an engine misfire between 900 and 1500 rpm.
On starting it runs like,"a bag of spanners" till its warmed up,but has this annoying misfire which actually vibrates the whole car if held at 1200 rpm.Above this, and general running it seems to disapear, doesnt seem heavy on fuel, but yesterday i was driving up a slip road to join the m62,put my foot down, and bang, seemed to backfire, and a cloud of smoke was left behind the car,but doesnt seem to be smoking heavily, other than that.Have done 3rd injector rewire, cleaed egr,and boost sensor, cleaned all other injector plug connectors, but still got the misfire.
The only other thing i can tell you, upon start from cold, spanner light comes on,and stays on for about 45 seconds, then goes out,n wont come back on again, till the next start from cold.
Any advice would be great,as it is really doing my swede in now, lol, thanks in advance

cold starting issue might be glowplugs on the way out. Have you cleaned the egr valve and boost sensor? Also check the small vac hoses that control the turbo boost valve for perishing or splits. The large boost hose on the right sideof the engine should be checked for small splits too, usually underneath.

has it been serviced recently? fuel/ oil air filter etc??

i'd guess this might be a egr thats sticking open then suddenly shutting / partially shutting

i'd temporarily blank my egr first then see if problem goes away.

if it does egr to blame

if not elsewhere is your solution

I think that fixing the split hose has given you back your power.
And the blanking of the EGR means that the power delivery is alot smoother.

Still got to sort out fitting my gasket on the EGR.

Whats left to sort out on yours now??
