Yes, Holden need the space in there factory setup for a more profitable car. It's completely out of the hands of Vx.
GM could take the tooling and manufacturing lines elsewhere and continue ??
I suppose they could yes, but imagine the cost. The reason the Monaro is such a cheap car for what you get, is it uses the Holden factory that produces the chassis and the V8. Vx would have to reproduce absolutely everything as it's all owned by Holden. They just don't sell enough of them to justify the expense.
At least we can guarantee the Vauxhall Monaro will defo be a classic. Cult status coming soon.
I had one of these babys on a 4 hour test drive around Derbyshire. Ive never driven anything like it and that was just the standard version, i can only imagine what the VXR is like. I'd promised myself one in two years..........im hoping i can still get my hands on one without paying silly money![]()
you would think they could move production to the states seeing as the monaro is sold there as the PONTIAC GTO and they made such a fuss when they relaunched it there bringing back an old name and all that !!
Back in a V6 !!!!!!!!!!!! And lovin it !!!
