exhaust question

Has anybody ever snapped the exhaust hangers from the front box of there exhaust and if so what did you do to repair it?
is there some kind of universal hanger available?
i have a 54 GSI and the exhaust is still ok however the 2 hanger tubes that come of it which are hollow tube have both snapped off.
(i think an uneven camber sheered them off) also they were corroded a bit which would of weakened them.

the box is near the cat. box and cat are both fine but need to hang it somehow back onto its rubber housing so to keep it secure.

any suggestions anyone??

Simple answer. get them welded back on. Go to an MOT center and ask them to weld them back on. Had 3 go on my vec and it cost £20 to get them welded back on.

Rust on them is pretty bad, however grinder may sort. due back in for MOT completion so will ask then.

If not I think you can get universal hangers that strap on, just not sure where I saw them.
