    This is really straight forward.

    I have fitted a CD70 to a Non-Can vehicle.

The main things you need to do is -

    1) Get an SOT lead to do loom conversion to Quadlock.

    2) Get scroller controls for the steering wheel.

    3) Reprogram the CIM for scroller controls

    4) Get yourself a sat nav patch aerial from ebay
(Search term should be Fakra GPS)

    5) Rewire / reposition wires in the screen connector as there are some slight differences between half and full can. (Wires for ECC, power wires, ground wires)

    6) You will also need the RGB cable - Alpha code RTZ, if you are fitting a colour screen.

There are a few threads about this, including one from me many years ago..

And if you have ECC you also need to change that panel

    Hi robsey

What cable do you use to go from half canbus to full canbus? I keep reading about sot122s but they don't come with the bigger connection for the power wires. So what do you use? Then it's just a new steering wheel with scrollers, some reprogramming and some plug rewiring. If it helps I have a 54 plate signum with ECC and a ncdc2013 fitted.
    Thanks

Hmm - I have always used SOT122 or SOT122S conversion looms.
What you tend to miss out on is the top block of mini pins.
As your car has ECC and NCDC2013, the mini blocks are what carry the low speed CAN and video signals and telephone connections.

An SOT lead should have all wiring as it has the ISO plugs to interface with a parrot kit.

The SOT leads should have the power cables from one ISO plug to the main quadlock.
And of course the other ISO plug carries the speaker wires.

What you will end up doing, is cutting away half of the adapter loom as it will not be needed.

    Power wires are -
Red 12 volt wires on ISO pins 2 and 8 are both linked to pin 15 of the quadlock plug with the lever on it.

The brown ground wire on ISO pin 4 goes to quadlock pin 12.

That is all the power wiring required.

As you have ECC you will probably require a full CAN heater control panel.
I suspect that as you have an early 54 plate vehicle, it is hoped that your CIM is running firmware (SPS programming) that will cope with scroller control programming.

Please also see possible wiring anomalies affecting certain configurations.
Don't forget to apply an ignition live feed to your aerial amplifier - red / white or red / grey wire on the ISO connector.

Not required if you are fitting the whole of the aerial and loom from a full CAN car.
