    Default Clutch vibration

I've just bought an 06 Vectra 1.9 CDTi SRi which has just (2 weeks ago) had the DMF and Clutch changed.

When I put my foot on the clutch whilst driving (just resting on) I feel a faint vibration. This is also there when getting the biting point either with a gear selected or not. The vibration seems to be in time with the engine.

It's only very faint and no noise but I wonder if it is something to worry about?

Any advice would be very welcome.

Bud if you feel insure about it take it back to where the clutch was fitted and mention it. My car is the same as yours and I've not got any vibrations thru the pedal

A slight vibration via the pedal is quite normal and nothing to worry about. It's the movement of the concentric slave cylinder being transmitted through the hydraulic fluid.

    concur with above

    if you've a problem with clutch / DMF /bearing it'll either

    a) tell you with lots of warning ( sounds like bag of spanners being rattled at front of car )

    b) like mine - fine one minute - dropped pedal next ( with hindsight - missed / difficult couple of gear changes in week before - maybe that was its clue )

wish someone would come up with a better soln to DMF but then i guess it does its job in reducing vibration

Ok, thanks. I'm reassured by these posts. Like I say, it's only very faint. Just not used to it I guess. Other than worrying about what might go wrong, it's a fantastic car.

Same here with clutch vibration - I have (or rather had) the same. You get used to it very quickly and I dont even notice it now...
