    Yours will be the Z22YH

Slightly more BHP than the Z22SE. High pressure fuel system. Dual exhaust.

I think Rushy's probably referring to the well known high pressure fuel pump fault on the z22yh's. Very common indeed with that engine. Although other than that it's a good solid engine to my knowledge.

Some still suffer camchain problems. Either the oil jet blockage problem or chain tensioner (unless Vx now fit the same tensioner that's fitted to the 2.o turbo?). Had to have my tensioner replaced a little while ago (with one fitted to the 2.o turbo) as it stuck and caused chain rattle.

Lets give the fella some practical advice!!

High pressure fuel pump failure on the Z22YH engine is relatively common.

My understanding is that this is caused by a problem with the fuel regulator (please, anyone correct me if I'm wrong).

A FREE inspection of the fuel pump and replacement if necessary will be carried out my a Vauxhall garage (if it has not already been done) thus avoiding this known weakness.

    Regards,
    Dave

I thought the oil jet problem was on the earlier z22se engines? Of course I could be completely wrong and happy to be corrected. Wasn't aware of the tensioner issue though you learn something new every day
