jayson advised us that we should re set the ecu every 3 months or so .... but i dont know about doors and stereo though chap ! as he reset mine via the laptop !
you should have a in your manual or some where the locking code for your stereo if not go to a vauxhall dealler and they will find out for you!
the doors will reset them selves after a while but you can manually lock them with the key! hope this helps!!Your battery only has to be off your car for 20 mins m8 and no one can nick your car cus it's not attached to your battery any valuables advise remove from your car perhaps.
Won't affect central locking. All you should need to do is re-enter your radio code and you may need to reset any windows that don't keep going up/down once you've let go of the button on the door. All you need to do is wind down the window (using the drivers controls), then wind it up but keep the door button pressed once it's closed. Keep it pressed for a few seconds - I think you hear a little click - then the window will be back to normal.
It'll also reset your trip/fuel computer.

I tried disconnecting my battery the other night and my car alarm went off. think its got a battery backup on board?
thats strange mine did'nt m8 did you take the battery off when the alarm was set ie:the doors were all locked that could have been the problem!Otherwise i don't know to be honest!
nice one fellas will go and see if i can find the radio code as dont want to take it off now and have no music till monday
dont know if it will make any difference to performance, but as the wife keeps telling me, every little bit helps
I done the same 4 days ago, i never lost any radio codes or anything else. Jayson never mentioned to me either about any mods, then reset the ecu. You would think it would say when you buy a air filter or any other performance mod to do this, oh well.
The car changed straight away in the sound of the engine but after 150 miles really has settled down and i THINK it is better. Iam going back to chipped uk next week hopefully and i will let you know if the reset has made a difference.
