Iv done it from the CD30 to The CD70 sat nav system .... well easy... no restrictions as long as the unit and screen are paired

Iv put my own Aerial in ( non VX ) .... .... works a treat

O ... the only thing was i needed to instal a washer sensor into the bottle... cos my car is base 1.8 model it was not already in

Ive got the unit and screen fitted, the roof loom and aerial looks easy enough. Wot im nt sure of is the 2 short looms from the back of the unit, they dont look long enough, how do i route them to the body plug?, do i have 2 dismantle the whole centre console?

All you should need to do, is

    1) Connect the head-unit to existing quadlock connector

    2) If you have the video lead, then just thread this through the back of the cage - up to behind the screen aperture, and plug in.

    3) Connect aerial plug for aerial

    4) Connect a GPS aerial to the GPS socket

    Job done.

two short looms ?? sounds a little confusing - which ones.

I had no spare looms, when converting CD30 to CD70 - just as described above.

Only extra looms I may find would be a CDC40 DAB loom - not required on CD70, or an SOT lead which goes between headunit and quadlock connector, for interfacing a bluetooth or parrot unit.

Do you have pictures of these two "small looms"?

If they are for the modified aerial connection, then I would run them as directly as possible across the lower dash, until I get to the driver's kick panel.
If you take the radio out, the heater panel (which just pulls out), and the lower drivers side trim panel below the steering wheel, then you should have enough access to feed any wires across.
