Default 150 miles in and problems already

Well 150 miles after I got the vectra 1.9cdti 2004 and it's started to have a few teething problems.

Driving along and I can only describe it as the car would hesitate ever so slightly then revert back to normal, eventually the em light came on!

The egr valve and mas was replaced in April this year and I had the car scanned and it came up with a couple of errors, I don't know the codes but 1 was to do with the glow plug circuit, the other was the accelerator sensor and the 3rd one the guy wasn't sure what it was something to do with the torque. He cleared them all and said to drive it until it happens again and he'll re scan it.

Could the glow plug circuit or accelerator sensor cause the car to hesitate?

My 2.2dti did this and it eventually cleared itself after a service but I think this was serviced 2k miles ago

hi m8 your engine hesitation would generate a p0638 fault code .
This is due to your throttle position sensor going faulty , what happens is as most people drive around only using upto only 20-25 % of the cars power the sensor gets worn at the low end and begins to give false readings to the ecu hence the hesitation.
Glow plugs would generally give a p0380 fault code and is one of the more common codes generated by vectra,s with deisel engines .Nothing to worry about too much, it just meets one of the glow plugs is lazy and takes longer than the others to register.

Thanks for the response, where abouts is the throttle sensor? I assume down by the peddle, is it simple to change?

I might have a look on eBay to see if I can pick one up

I'm having that issue. I wonder if there is something wring with the wiring/sensor. I'm getting the pedal unit replaced on Monday. Mines is a 2004 and had a misfire/hesitation for a long time until it came to a head two days ago - EM light and TC came on and the engine sat at 1,500rpm regardless of pedal position.

Hang on m8 until I get my pedal replaced if it still does it on mine then I would suggest another route. I wonder if this is a new issue with the CDTI 150's as there are three 2004 models that have some form of throttle issue now. Wonder if it something that goes wrong after a certain time period.
