    Default MOT Fail Brake lines

    Hi all,
As above Damn car failed MOT on corroded brake lines from front to rear.
Would this be an item VX would stock or will it be a motorfactor and get them to make some up for me?

I plan to do it myself, has anyone else had to do it and encountered any issues?

Is it both of the front to rear ones? Where are they gone as the nearside one goes over the fuel tank and is a real ball ache. It's worth while going about buying a length of copper brake pipe and a flaring tool. The tool will pay for it's self eventually

Why oh why are we still getting cars with unprotected brake lines these days When i was getting mine mot's the tester said there was the start of the signs of corrosion so while on the ramp he took a wire brush over them and them spray greased them to give them a bit more protection.

    Yeah says both brake lines.
dont say they go over the tank.. is it a tank out job or can you get the pipe past it?

Nearside one deffo goes over the tank depending on where it's corroded i'd be tempted to join that one

Ideally it's tank out but we managed with alot of messing to get mine done without taking the tank out. All 4 of mine have been replaced

I assume it was a roll of copper pipe and a flairing tool?
