    Default Boost sensor

Hi all have cleaned again last time i done it, didn't notice much difference but this time i cleaned it properly and now have like a little yellow bit in the middle, but the top half of the yellow nit is still black, is this right, does anyone have any pics of a new boost sensor, it probably is just muck but i didn't want to scrape at it and brake sensor.

I think so mine is the same can clean most of it but still a small bit of black at the end, perhaps if you soak in some WD40 next time it may shift it. HTH

I have read a thread on this and had a couple of comments on threads of my own about cleaning the boost sensor which I hope to do very shortly.

The comments, along with the How2, all say to use the carb cleaner and also to use a small soft brush. This may get the muck out from the tip of the sensor that you say is still black.

    Hope this helps.

Hi all spent a good half hour cleaning sensor all black stuff gone now, the little yellow bit should be all yellow and starts thin and thickens at end.

The question is, is your car running any better for cleaning the Boost Sensor?

There's a How2 on this site for cleaning boost sensor.

I'll try and find it and post a link here for you.
