    Default Vx Servicing Costs

    Hello

I live in North West (Warrington) and work in Macclesfield

Can anyone recommend a good dealership for competative servicing of my new Vectra.

1st Service will be done on 1 Sept 2005

PLP Warrington quoting £135.00 - any discounts for vectra-c.com?

    Does it actually need serviced?

I read in a previous post that you've got a 1.9CDTI (150) with 12000 miles on the clock.

Unless you're on EcoService, it won't need servicing until 20,000 miles or 2 years.

You could just get an oil change.

    Hi SJG

Yes, my car is on Eco Flex Service, has 7000 miles left until service is due, I got the oil changed a while ago.

Will my warranty be okay if I wait until 20,000 miles or 2 years?

Also Vx have dropped the Eco Flex service for the 2005 models, just trying to work out why they would drop this feature.

I was just trying to stay on the 'safe' side and ensure my car is well maintained ....

Perhaps I may wait until 20,000 miles or 2 years ...

What is everyone else doing? ... actually what is involved in a 1st year Eco Service and 1st Eco Flex service?

    Thanks

    Denzo

Can someone please explain the technical facts of Eco Flex servicing

Is it just a timer and 20,000 mile count down? or some fancy sensors and controls

I am torn between getting my eco-flex serviced at 12 months (only because I am used to getting new cars serviced annually) and waiting until the dash tells me to get it serviced.

I have checked all solutions, brake fluid levels okay, coolant level okay, oil level okay etc....

I'm in a bit of a dilema .... should I wait a further 7000 miles and get it serviced then or go for the 12 month mark?

actually the ecoflex servicing for the 1.9cdti is 30K or 2 years. Its the petrols that are 20K or 2 years. If your car isnt on the eco flex then both petrol and diesels should be done at 10K or 1 year intervals.

The ecoflex service is done by sensors, it is roughly 20,000 miles on a petrol. The car senses your driving style, oil quality, time and computes when you need a service. Well thats the theory, my service light went tits up, had the dash replaced and am told it will come on when it needs serviced. Car feels a little rough so I am going to get a service done I reckon .

My car drives well, it has done 12700 miles, my Eco-Flex tells me service due in 7000 miles.

It seems odd to leave the car more than 12 months from new until it is serviced.

Any more information on the types of sensor and use?

Assume that all Vectra C and Signum have the sensors, but the dealer can choose Eco-Flex or Eco-Service before delivery

Mine is Eco-Flex, actually had my oil changed a few weeks ago

My 53 plate signum is on ' eco flex ' , i bought it with 2700 miles on, it is now on 17.5k miles, the eco flex tells me i have 14k miles b4 it needs a service, its a 2.2 DTi auto

i am going ahead with a VX 2 year full service, including a brake fluid change, as this will give me a no cost 3rd year warentee from VX which covers all the major mechanical items,

the service costs £190 , but my bro works there and that gets me 20% discount

i think its worth it in the end to have it done, one reason is keeping the warentee and the other is to have a fully stamped up service record
