OK. Will look forward to that. I have seen other 150's on youtube to compare.

Even with the 120's 3.35 final drive ratio, you would still be looking at less than a genuine 130mph @ 3500rpms. Either you have very big wheels and tyres fitted or your speedo is wwaaayyyy too optimistic.

I have heard, and please,I put the emphasis on "heard",that when you blank the EGR valve, you stop large quantities of soot entering the manifold.OK,combine this soot with oil/vapour from the crankcase re-breather and you get the sticky, tarry substance that clogs the valve/manifold up.(now here's the theory).
If you eliminate a large quantity of the soot by blanking, the better quality of air entering the inlet manifold helps to "clean"the pipes and manifold of carbon deposits over a period of time.Like I said,it was only ever expressed as a theory, and like you,I would be interested in any impressions people might have on this when you combine it with using a tuning box as my son has been using "The Italian box" for a couple of months now with very positive results on his 120.FELIXX.

Indeed it is, running at a 190bhp/400nm (approximate)

Still need to get it on a rolling road to clarify, but one other user who has same box/panel filter/airbox mod put his on the RR and had nearly 200bhp and well over 400nm

Off hand, does anyone know what final drive ratios are on the 150 Vec auto (08 Facelift)

There are a great many threads on this and other forums with regards to 'EGR blanking'. There are also other methods of doing this (removing butterfly plate from throttle body for example).

Sometimes doing these 'mods' can have effects on other parts of the engine that may be totally unrelated. We have plenty of anecdotal evidence to suggest that these mods work, but probably total silence if they go wrong. *keeps fingers crossed for father-in-laws Astra*
