Aftermarket warranties

What is the opinion on these are roughly what is the cost of say a 2 or 3 year extended warranty.

I have always played the roulette wheel myself and not renewed or bought a warranty but this time given DMF's I am considering one

Dont buy one mate.. there to much hassle.. ive got one and there crap.. unless something blows up they wont replace it... VX warranty is the only warrenty worth the paper its wrote on but even they have their problems..

Ditto, Had a Warranty direct policy on my old car, the Rad split a seam a month after the policy started, I purchased it 6 weeks before then, they refused the claim saying the rad was damaged before I brought the policy,

Errr, driving with a hole in the rad for nearly 8 weeks, think NOT, I had to give details of my MOT, service history and complain to the head manager of the claims department, took 4 months to get my money back,

If I did it again it would be the VX warranty all the way, even if its £100 more,
