Default VXR vs VW Passat R36

There is much deliberation about the three cars:

    1. Vectra VXR
    2. Mondeo ST200
    3. Mazda MPVS

Clearly the VXR is the winner here but what happens when you bring the Volkswagen Passat R36 into the equation with its 3.6L V6 4Motion DSG with its 295bhp and a 0 - 60 in 5.4 seconds as standard. Granted they are still on the expensive side as they only started production in 2008 but i just wondered what people's thoughts were!!!

Think you are getting the mundano mixed up bud, as the ST200 is a god awful car but the ST220 now that is a different kettle of fish.

VW though very nice cars hold money well as you can see and very well built so compared to the vxr then the vw comes out on top imo.

If money wasnt a problem then id be thinking VXR8

The Passat is boring as hell, but at least the R36 looks the part. Personally I would go for the R36 Estate over the Vectra VXR estate, it is far more exclusive and an overall better package.

The r36 does look a nice motor, i couldn't afford to run one or a VXR tbh...

Unless it was an estate i wouldn't have a Passat, i did have a tdi (57 plate) Passat for a month while my previous C (53 plate) was being repaired after a bump (2 year ago) & tbh i couldn't wait to get back into my older Vec... i just prefer the hatch

Yeah i did actually mean to put the Mondeo down as the ST220, not the ST200. I blame that on a long night shift lol.

I think the R36 is a would be my car of choice out of them!

The R36 would be up against the Insignia VXR as the vec is no longer in production.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!
