dump valve

hi guys just bought the cdti sri 150 xp and was wondering if you can put a dump valve on? ive always liked the dumpin sound of a turbo but could never afford the running costs lol? all info appreciated cheers ben.

Yes you can but it will have to be activated by a solenoid valve and there is very little point as it does nothing but make a noise on a diesel.

Agreed, it's the infamous chav valve being mentioned again.

As said, pointless to performance, and if you really want just the noise, then that's just a bit sad IMO.

If you want a dump valve noise, I did fit a k&n cone filter and gave off a dump sound, but I removed it due to maf worries and heat sink

do the airbox mod and sometimes you'll be able to hear the wastegate whoosh open... that sounds pretty cool (if you're into that kinda thing...)
