Default How does an LPG converted car take to a remap?

I'm currently looking at a 2.0t SXi estate with an LPG conversion, while i'd be happy with the current power for the time being would this car re-map ok or would the LPG cause problems?

There was a Zaffy GSi in TV once that had an LPG conversion, it did two power runs, one with and one without LPG, The power was more on petrol but only by about 10% or something. From that, I'd say it would remap fine

That sounds good to me, I like economy for going on holiday but like power for the rest of the time so LPG sounds ideal

My VXR is remapped, only the basic 255bhp model, ive done power runs on both petrol and gas. I lost 10 bhp and 10lbs on gas over petrol.

As for being remapped, i know they have had problems with some cars being remapped, will be looking into getting mine remapped when i get home in nov, hopefully it can be done but only time will tell.

I spoke with the bloke at Torquingbhp about remapping and LPG conversions last year, he said it can be done but that he would not recommend it as it has been known to cause problems some engines. I would have an indepth chat with a mapper beforehand.

Other things to be On the look out for are has it got a flash lube system. LPG systems sometimes are hard on the valve seats and the flash lube helps to prevent this.

The Zafira driver is a friend of mine.

He also has a Astra VXR running just under 300bhp on gas.

To get good power you need to fit the 'Prinns' system as that uses the touring car injectors and can flow the right amount of gas.

If you want any more info I will see if I can get him over here and answer them.

Problem is that the car is already converted, not sure what system it has on it. TBH if it were to be too much hastle i'd rather just buy a cdti and re-map it but this 2.0t was just a bit different
