    Smile 2.0 dti

I was thinking of getting my engien remapped or something to make it faster. I dont fink it is tha fast at all. I cant get a higher engien car as the insurance is to high and i was just thinking what mods can i do to the car to get it abit quicker. And do you think they are worth it.
I have been told by a mate that he doesnt think that i can get my car remapped as it is like the lowest modle of a 2.0 turbo but im not sure if i can or not.

    Any help would be great

What year is the car? Don't think the 2003-2004 2.0 DTIs can be remapped. Not 100% on that though. Yeah, a remap is pretty much the best option if you want the most power gain. Don't expect much more than 30-35bhp though.

No problem 2,0 dti 03 has orginal 100 hp and 230 nm. For example Medusa motorsport has chiptuning for this and gives 130 hp and 280 nm. Its more then 2,2 dti and gives a much funniere car to drive. Also you can remove the catalyst and get a few hp there to.

I had a 1999 vectra 2,0 dti with superchip for many years ago, it was very powerfull on that time

iv read about chips but alot of people have said stay away from chips, get it remapped instead. Sombody emailed me about a chip saying it would cost £199 not fitted. That will increase top speed by 3mph but increase the bh to about 145.
ill try and find the name out later for you

Medusa is chiptuning by diagnose-contact. So its a remap. I dont think 2,0 dti can give much more power then 130-135 hp. I agree that tuning by opening the ECU is not a good idea.
