cd player cartridge stuck

can anyone help me my cd cartridge has stuck for some reason just keeps coming up error .
do i have to take out complete cd player or any tricks of the trade pls
help me

You need to remove the unit and take off the lid and grease up the eject unit,never done it myself,pm bigmac on here he has done it and know's exactly what to do,hth........

took unit out and had a look but not helped me really ,cd is engaged on the laser all looks ok
but didnt grease anywhere
so want any help as cant stand having something that dont work,ive turned too drink already and the marriage is taking its toll

As my pm mate your best to strip it back,if you can try and get power to it so when you eject it you can then see where it's getting jammed as it may be the cartridge
But in my experience it's normally the eject mech that knackers up
