    Default HELP....my vec is leaking petrol!

    Noticed a smell a of petrol a few days ago...now i've just noticed that the petrol is leaking (fairly badly) from around underneath the rear drivers side door ......around this area..see pic

    any ideas?......and more importantly how much?

    Looks like a fuel filter to me. Although looks like its got an electrical connection so maybe a pump.

    Nope going for a filter

    that looks like one foobar'd filter, change it and see how you get on after that, may need new hose ends

    Personally I'd just book it in to be changed, filters are cheap anyway. I wouldn't bother even getting my hands dirty for it

    hose end should be the quick release type so should be easy off, easy on... SHOULD!

    Euro carparts have the filter for £4 but as tomorrow is sunday Halfords may be your only answer.

    stupid place to put the filter IMO, open to easy corrosion!

    last time i changed one was on my B, 5 minute job, clip hoses or have a bucket/tray under filter as you will lose some fuel, but have new filter to hand to swap quickly!

    Shouldn't corrode between service intervals. Just done mine came off like new.
