New rule within the Buying & Selling section. PLEASE READ before submitting a for sale thread
Please be aware that with immediate effect, it will now be necessary for all members initiating a For Sale thread, that a photo of the item(s) for sale must be submitted within that thread. Along with this, we now require that the photo depicts a piece of plain paper with your forum username and that days date clearly and legibly written on it.
These pictures should be uploaded via the Manage Attachments TAB, This can be found by scrolling down to Additional Options
Files have to be..
DO NOT PHOTOSHOP YOUR USER NAME AND DATE ONTO PICTURE OR HOST PICTURES OFF SERVER, ALL PICTURES NEED TO BE UPLOADED VIA OUR SERVER SO THEY CANT BE ALTERED AT A LATER DATE !
Any Thread made without following the above rule will simply be deleted.
The reason we now require this, is that it proves that the seller is in possession of the item(s) and on the day they submitted the for sale thread. OK, it isn't absolutely foolproof, but it will go someway to instilling confidence in the buyer. We have had a number of instances of people being 'stung' in the past, and we are constantly striving to find ways to make it harder for these people to steal from our members. Whilst some may think it a bit of a pain, it doesn't take much to do, and if you're honest with your selling/dealings, then you won't mind us taking these steps to try and protect the members further.
Thank you for your support

We are now going to be moderating all the 'For Sale' sections which will mean each one will be checked by a moderator or Admin to make sure it complies with the rules. This will keep it much more uniform in the way it looks and will make the adverts correct the first time round.
Your advert will only show in the For Sale section once it has been approved.
To re-iterate some of the rules.
You must upload all of the photos of the item in question to Vectra-C.com's server and NOT photobucket or any hosting service.
You MUST include a piece of paper with your Username and Date on the day you are submitting the For Sale advert. This is to prove that you own the item in question but does not prove the condition of the item for sale. This is between the buyer and seller to confirm the condition either verbally or by further photos. You must NOT photoshop your username/date onto the photo this is not acceptable. If listing more than one item for sale then each item will need a username/date.
If listing set of wheel for example one username/date of the 4 wheels together and individual wheels can then be shown separately without the paper to aid better shots of the wheel without them being obscured.
Dont worry if you submit it late at night and it isnt approved until the next morning. We will see and be aware of this.
For sale items older than 2months will be automatically closed and if you wish to relist the item then a new advert will have to be listed. This will help aid in making sure the item is photographed in its current condition and not degraded during storage over the months which it is not sold.
We hope this will help the For Sale sections to be a little more uniform and run a bit more smoothly for all involved. If you have any queries on things not been covered here then please ask a Mod or Admin and we will be happy to help.
