    Default Washer sensor...

I've ordered a front washer bottle sensor for the Vectra to get rid of the low washer symbol on my display, is there any chance someone can post up a picture showing me exactly where it needs to go on the bottle, as I'm selling the car I want to make sure the sensor is properly fitted rather than short it out

I put mine almost directly level with and to the right of the bottom of the main body of the pump. Hope that helps.

Thanks, is it just a case of drilling a hole in the bottle and then a grommet around the sensor to hold it in the bottle??

Found a pic of mine after I'd done it.

Yes, drill a large hole, there's a washer available from the dealers for pennies.

Edit: oh and I meant to the right of the pump obviously

Brilliant, thanks for that, once the sensor arrives I shall get that fitted nearly there now with getting mine finished, although I wonder how much fluid is left in the bottle haha.

One word of advice, make sure the hole is EXACTLY the right size and that the washer is a very tight fit both in the hole and on the pump or you'll end up with the problems I had where there was a very slight leak (not even enough for fluid to leak out but enough for air to get in) which reduced the pressure and the pump hardly had enough power to create four jets. I tried replacing the pump, checked all the lines etc etc turned out to be a bad seal on the washer.

Do you know what size the hole needs to be?

No, sorry, that was the problem, I "guess-timated".
