Default Calling all 19" Snowflake & Big brake members !!

    Guys,

Am working in the bowels of Cornwall all next week, will cover a total of 2000 miles in total. I have 19" Snowflakes, & VXR brakes, BUT no spare wheel !!!.

For those who know the area, there are some very remote, & strange parts, & I dont want to be stuck with a puncture close to Bodmin (with the legend of the Beast of Bodmin) in the early hours of the morning, or Redruth at anytime, day or night !!!!

I do not want to end up asking for help in a 'Local town for local people' !!!

Does anyone know of a spacesaver wheel that will fit over my brake set-up? How do you currently get around the issue with your set-up?

    Thanks in advance

you will be ok with a spacesaver if you only have one puncture.. The spacesaver will fit over the rear 292mm with no probs as the car ships with them on some models.. If you get a puncture on the front, move a rear wheel to the front and put the spacesaver on the back and go and get a repair etc.
My old Signum, the animal; she now rests in pieces in several other members cars.. https://www.vectra-c.com/forum/garag...vehicle&id=200

With my Vectra B I had 18inch rims with 6pot AP calipers and 355mm discs when I got a puncture on the front i had to take off a rear wheel put that on the front and put the spare which was a 15inch steel on the rear , a bit of extra hassle but no need for a special spare wheel

I have 19's and carry a full size 17" alloy instead of the spacesaver to use as a spare. A 17" wheel will definitely fit over the 314 brakes I had on my previous Vectra 'C'.
