could be the motor sticking and causing this.

I had my motor replaced as after it had gone through 2 resistors, one night the cabin filled with dense smoke and a screeching noise

A new motor cured all, but it was all caused by wet carpet/blocked drain syndrome

went thru 3 resistors in 4 weeks. Luckily i did the maplins thermal fuse fix so didnt cost a fortune.
My fan motor would give a screech when first switching it on and i had to wack it up to number 4 to get rid of it.
Did a bit of a search on here and then put lots of 3 in 1 oil on top of the spindle behind the pollen filter which cured the squeek and the resistor problem.

hi - may blower doesn't work untill I select number 4 - so assuming it's the resistor. I have taken of the glove box but cant see the resistor assembly.

Any ideas where I should be looking ?
