Default Well Done VX Customer Service

Thought i would share my recent experience with VX Customer Support.

Without going into too much detail, my Vec C is on its 3rd CIM module since i bought the car. 2 were replaced whilst under warranty, however when the problem occured again (flashing dash lights and erratic dials) my local vx dealer could not find a fault (again whilst under warranty). It then started again after the warranty ran out. At first normal symptoms, then just a dead car.

Explained to the dealer who knew of the problem, but no budge on the price... So £468 i had to pay to get it replaced and installed.

Contacted VX customer support with a polite and detailed email. Got a response the next day saying they would look into it. After a couple more emails to and from VX, i got a phone call today saying that they would be giving me a full refund for the replacement CIM i had to pay for!

They said it was understandable that suffering 3 failures of the same unit was not good, and would be glad to see me right.

All communication was with the same lady, who at every point was polite, curtious and understanding.

So, hats off to you VX for treating me well

    Rgds
    Aidi

Makes you wonder what's causing the CIM to fail all the time...

Nice one! I have always found Vauxhall customer services to be brilliant. They even exchanged my first Zafira GSi back in 2003 for a brand new on free of charge!

Yep, that is a concern of mine, and i made this clear to the Customer support. Again, they understood, and told me to get back in contact if it should fail again.

I must also say that my experiences with my local Vx dealer have been positive; to cut a long story short, Vx over tightened the sump plug, it got rounded (by anothger garage) I went back to the dealer and they said sorry and removed the sump plug without fuss.

Often, I think it is how you 'deal' with these issues. Shouting, screaming, finger pointing, blaming, etc is not the way to do it...
