    Default Tyre Wear

How long should you get from the front set of tyres?

I have done nearly 12k on my 2.2 design and by the looks of the tread thats left, reckon I will be lucky to get another couple of thousand out of them.

The are Bridgestone turanos (or something like that if my memeory serves me right). I know a lot of discussions have taken place on the best tyres to get, but could I be a pain and ask for guidance on whats the best tyres for the front, in relation to good wearing properties etc.

    THANKS IN ADVANCE GUYS

    It's about right unfortunatly...

I knocked my goodyear nct5's out in about 15,000 and Mrs GSi has had two set in 40,000 in her 2.2 but they have both been premiun Michelins that seemed as hard as heck..

i'm still on goodyear, but she's now on avon zv3's.. the assymetrical ones..

tyres... a bit like what do you like for breakfast really..all personal choice..

I've got bridgestone turanos on my design and after 12k they still look like new...I guess it's down to most of those miles being motorways

I go through tyres quicker than toilet roll...but that's down to my driving style more than anything. If you drive the car pretty hard, taking corners fast and breaking/acclerating hard then you will melt the rubber off pretty quick.

12-15k seems to be about the maximum I get out of fronts.

Bridgestone Turanzas 215/55-16. 19k still got a couple of k left in them. Very impressed with them & will probably replace with the same. Made in Poland by the way.

23000m on my 19" Continentals. Still around 3mm left but their performance is becoming noticeably worse.
