    Default Air Bag Light

A mate at work has a Peugot and his air bag light is on. I said to him do you move the drivers seat Yes he said. That is why the light has come on. He replied "that is what they said on the peugot forum".
Then he asked why does that happen. Good question I said. But I don,t know the aswer. So does anyone reading this know why moving the drivers seat can make the air bag light come on.

Maybe the multi plug under the seat is not fully connected?

He has looked under the seat all is ok.
It seems somehow persistant moving of the drivers seat "activates" the air bag light some how, that is the answer we are after. I agree moving the seat might physicaly disturb the wireing.

A cable could work harden and snap, or become trapped and cut through with the seat somehow. But i agree that the first port of call is to check the plug is clean and connected correctly.

I will be taking my scanner to work and hopefully be able to turn it off. Be interesting to see how long it takes before it comes back on again.

So by the sound of it there is No scientific reason for the light coming on if there is no damage to the wireing "etc".
