    Default Idiot driver.

3 miles from home and travelling along a national speed limit with some idiot sitting in front of my travelling at 35 mph anyway sat behind him safe distance till i had an opertunity to pass, so a mile down the road i got past him on passing him i noticed a car about 300 yards down the road at a juntion onto the 60 mph road, now I was fully back into my lane and had travelled a goo 150 yards when this idiot pulled out onto the road i had to hit the brakes hard and also constant beep on my horn, it was a woman driver who was visably shaken as she nearly crashed her car into the kerb, now i seen her and was already covering the brakes just incase, why do people find it so hard to judge joining a national speed limit road form a junction, who would have been at fault if i hit into the back of her. Makes me mad.

I feel your pain! get it all the time round here! its almost like people dont know what the national speed limit sign means!

They sit there doing 35-40mph in a 60mph zone, I would say they are the people that cause accidents along with the others that think its ok to pull out infront of a car going 60 and then do 40 themselves

I had someone in a merc do that to me funnily enough it was a woman. If you had run into the back of her it could have been 50/50 if there were no witnesses.
As for the overtaking, and noticing the car 300yrds from you, you should have slowed down incase anyway, plainly she wasn't paying attention to where you were.
As for the clowns doing 35mph on a 60mph, we will all need to get used to it, they are becoming more and more common now on our roads. Funnily enough it is the same ones who sit up your backside in a 30mph zone, doing the tailgating.

Watched a guy on Saturday night nearly plough through the cones at the roadworks on the M8. Sign posted from 800,600,400 and 200 yards that the carriageway was reducing to 1 lane of traffic but still he tried to overtake an artic lorry just as the cones started. Needless to say the lorry never gave way and the idiot in the car had to do an emergency stop before he ploughed through the cones. I mean WTF for? To get in front of a lorry in a 40mph zone and get to where he was going 2 seconds earlier?!?!?!?!

Bare in mind that 60mph is the maximum speed, not the minimum. A normal Tractor is limited to a max speed of 20mph on a main road and cyclist do even less.

why do they do that, i thinks its down to driving ability at speed, so when they get through the 60 zone they then speed up and ride your bumper becase they dont have the ability to drive on a 60

I had someone driving like an idiot I was joining the carriageway and it was a running lane and this guy loads of room in front of me mind, decided to pull into my lane when I was up the side of him, and if i hadn't slammed the brake son he would have took the front end of the car.

Your are supposed to sit at the speed limit. And watch for cars pulling out and slow down for bends. Sitting at 35 in a 60 is just wreckless as doing 90 in a 60.

Highway code clearly states "maximum" speed, unless its a blue sign with a speed in and that's a "Minimum" speed, mind ya never seen one of them before though LoL.

i had an old bloke the other day........i`m half way round an island and he just drove out in front of me in his fiat panda, luckily i`d got a feelin he was gonna do it an was ready on the brakes........the look on his face was class as he saw a massive vectra about to pile into his drivers door cos he hadn`t bothered to look. proper ***** himself and he had to pull over, if i hadn`t had the kids in the car i`d have just piled into him and had a nice claim

One thing that does get under my skin is lane hogging! why get in the overtaking lane on a dual carrage way and do 60? Also on the motorway when there is nothing around but yet some people (mostly micra drivers haha) decided to sit in middle land doin 50? arrrrgh, ill have to shut up now, im winding myself up talking about it lol!
