Hi everyone, Have had a vectra c 2005 150 auto for past three years and I must say this forum has saved me a fortune, I have had vauxhall's before but had my leg amputated three years ago so thats why I bought the vectra auto, I am a taxi driver and love my vectra, well did love it up till little "niggles" appeared, yup done 124,000 miles and now the big problems have arose, 2 new manifolds, 2 alternators, 1 turbo, new gearbox( luckily that one was done under warrantee ) and now experiencing the same problem most of you have , problems at 2000rpm's, juddering, lack of power, but hey it be boring if our cars ran like a dream everyday .

Nasty, an aneurysm is a ballooning of an artery, which can cause a rapid bleed out if it bursts. They usually can repair these by inserting a wire mesh into the artery. Yours must have already burst or you would not have had symptoms. Having clotted blood in the old arterial tree can be bad news as bits can break away and travel and block smaller arteries in the brain, lungs or heart causing death. I would imagine that is why they amputated it. My left leg is partly paralysed as a result of a spinal injury I suffered in December 2007.

I had one behind my left knee too but they managed to save that leg by doing a bypass around the vein,to this day the specialists have no idea what caused it, just bad luck I guess. on a brighter note I enjoy it when I need a new leg cos I dont have the normal flesh coloured, I have had a subaru blue " scooby" leg, a red "snap-on" leg and currently have a plain black one with a decal of the stig on it

Some people have arterial wall defects from birth, it is possible you inherited this tendancy. Did they ever investigate you for aneurysms in other parts of the body?
