The original thread was lost in August, this was when the police refused to give chase when they saw the burglar because he wasn't wearing a crash helmet.
He didn't get away with it for long:-

Serves him right, no sympathy for n00bs like him tbh.
Agreed no sympathy if that's how he lived, then that's the natural outcome.
Wonder if he carried an organ donor card then?
I hope the van was not damaged to much. and the driver of the van was ok
it say's it all
No doubt there's a Facebook page declaring he was a hero....
Seems a waste of a good bike.
Heres another poor quad bike ruined by two burglars killed by train.
What goes around comes around.... on tracks
Good, less money for Joe taxpayer to fork out on prison costs and benefits. two less wastes of space in the world always a good thing IMO.
good old trains. never run on time. but when they do. they get the job done right.once again hope the driver ok. and the people on board to.....
it say's it all
I know the owner/driver of the van and it was confiscated while the incident is investigated.
Through no fault of his own his life has been turned upside down by this and he has even lost out on work (self employed). So to read that the police let him go because he wouldn't wear a helmet is a joke.
