    confused help on wheels!!!!!!!!!

Ok i am needing a set of alloy wheels and tyres for my 3.2 v6 elite signum. The tyres and alloys on just now will not get through mot due in nov, so instead of buying new tyres for the original alloys that i dont like i thought be as well just get new alloys and tyres all at once. My current tyre size is 215 50 17". Ok so the question is can i go up a size to 18" if so will these fit easily? Will it affect the speedo or anything else technical? Or am i better off just getting alloys the same size as ones on just now so i dont get any problems from bigger ones? The suspension is standard signum elite. Thanks.

Hi mate, you can go as big as you want really as long as you get the same PCD and off set. I have 19" Snowflake alloys on my Signum and there is no fouling etc and mine is the Design model which has 15mm lower suspension than yours. HTH

PCD? I thought the bigger you go it affects the speedo? What about turning with bigger wheels rubbing arches etc?

PCD = pitch circle diametre, and is the diametre of a circle drawn through the centre of your wheel's bolt holes. ET = the short form of the German word 'Einpresstiefe' which literally translates as 'insertion depth'. It may affect the speedo a tiny amount but not eneough to worry about and you can get this Tech2'd by VX to alter the speedo reading. Mine came from factory with 19's fitted. Some guys on here have even got 20's on and with lowered suspension too, so you wont have any problems with 18's trust me.

Yeah they both look suitable with the correct off set and pcd mate. I think the Audi reps would look mint. Not to keen on the 17's though.
