For a start, realise that Belfast is in Northern Ireland (UK) not Ireland, so don't be getting any Euros. As to what to do, it depends on how you are getting there. If you are going by ferry and have your car, I would say use Belfast only as the place to sleep and get out into the countryside. If you are on foot, then Sadly, much as I like Belfast, it is not exactly a tourist hot spot. It is just a small regional city. Fine for shopping and eating, but no great must see tourist attractions. Much like a smaller version of Liverpool. It is certainly no London or Paris.

I was just about to correct your mention of "Belfast Ireland" as well lol. Probably best not to make that mistake when you're there, as it may be seen as a political comment - and NI politics is something you want to stay away from.

If you will have a car, head north out of Belfast on the M2 then M5 and follow signs for Causway Coast, through Carrickfergus, Larne, Antrim Coast Road etc. Nicest drive in the Country. Make your way eventually to Portrush, Portstewart and Coleraine. Avoid Ballycastle if you have an English accent (hot bed of IRA supporters). If you have another day, head west out of Belfast on the M1 the continue on A4 to visit Eniskillen and the N.Irish lake district. Finally if you have a third day, head South out of Belfast towards Newcastle and the Mourne Moutains.

If looking to eat in Belfast in the Evening, head to the University area in South Belfast. Loads of nice eateries there.

I worked in Dungannon for a while and the people from NI are very friendly never had any trouble neither did I see any for the year on and off I worked there. I was only discussing this last night with the missus I went to Dublin and hated it I prefer the countryside of NI and the people.

Yes, peace has broken out now...there were a couple of articles in the news about it a few years ago.

Peace has broken out, but the last time I was in Ballycastle (just over a year ago), it was covered in Irish tricolours, numerous GAA stuff etc. For someone not of the nationalist/republican leaning, not very welcoming. Some stunning countryside etc around the area, but the town itself is not great.
