    Default Fitting HID 2 preface

Guys ive hunted high and low and can find a thread for fitting the "HIDS-Drirect" kit to a pre-face without removing the bumper.
i'm going to tackle this tomorrow i hope when they arrive, if not wed.

i have a rough idea that it isnt difficult but as im in work with a colour laser printer i could print out pics and instructions just for the extra hand..

i know you must all be sick to death of this kinda convo though but please..

There is a how 2 mate but TBH it make it more confusing. Its really simple, and the bumper doesn't need to come off. There is a box and a bulb, you plug the cars normal bulb fitting into the HID kit loom and then the HID box to the bulb. The plugs are different on each part so you cant put it together wrong, its a really really easy mod. I will say however to be prepared for the bulb failure even if the kit says it wont happen. If the bulb failure does pop up then HID's direct will send you the fix FOC.

    HOW 2 linky

On the prefacelift, removing the bumper is pointless. On the passenger side, lift up the battery box cover (the HID box can stick in there as well) and twist off the washer bottle filler neck, that gives you more than enough room to play with. On the driver's side, remove the air filter box to give you enough room.

Good job. bare in mind though that on the driver's side the ballast can be tucked up right under the wing, where it doesn't get in the way of anything.
