    Default signum cdti temprature

iv bought a signum cdti 150 manual.

iv had a few tdi over the years but never a common rail.
can someone tell me if this is correct as im not sure what to make of it...when im driving the car the temp gauge eventually gets up to 80 and during the drive it goes up to 90 back down to 85 sometimes back to 80 or slightly below. today it went a tiny fraction over 90 but no higher.

all the diesels iv ever ownerd iv never had one that the temp gauge moves up and down its normally just in 1 place.

the last car i had just sat at 90 no matter what.
i rang vx and they said just book it in but thought id do some homework first.

any help and advice very much appreciated.

    thanks

No idea. But if stopped in traffic the temp gauge will move as the fans cut in and out and the thermostat opens and closes. constant movement will produce constant temperature.

Why would it be different to a petrol????? If you can tell me what the major differences are between a petrol car cooling system and a diesel one then maybe it would answer itself

Mine sits at 85 mainly on a long run, but can go up or down according to driving conditions/style.
Read somewhere on here that others say this is normal.
Also takes a little longer to reach temp now, than it did say a month ago, as it's a little cooler.
