Well if you listen to loads of people on here, you have let yourself in for huge repair bills with the CDTi 150 at that sort of mileage. Dual MAss flywheel, swirl valves etc. I just bought a Vectra with that engine. Joined up as I always do when I get a new type of car, but have been shocked by how much negitivity there is on here about the CDTi engines and the 150 in particular.

    Hi and a warm welcome
Don't be too upset the thing about forums is that no one really ever says my car is running fine! all we seem to post is the bad side

In general they are fine cars and reliable if looked after in a reasonable way

To an extent that is true, but I have to admit there seems to be more of this on here than there was on the Mondeo forum I used or Briskoda before that (and the Mondeo forum had loads of members driving ancient MK1s etc in a way that this Vectra C only forum does not).

well mine is a mint and i mean totally mint signum elite 150. iv had it 4 days and up to now when i start it cold i can feel like its missing or sort of a thud feeling (hard to explain) but soon as i drive it its fine.
temp seems to go up and down all the time but never over 90.
now i joined here and read all about them im getting really worried and wishing id done more homework 1st.
im sure people have loads of good things to say as well but up to now iv gone from being in the new car spirit to quite fed up!!

My mother-in-law drives a 1.9CDTi (150) Signum Design. It has always misbehaved slightly after a long M-Way speed journey, but other than that no problems. Despite being ancient (2004) it has only 54K miles. Nice car if you don't need to carry a 5th person or any amount of luggage etc (Corsa sized boot). I like the trip computer screen in the Signum. Orange background with black writing looks much nicer than dark background with junky orange writing as it is in my 2008 Vectra.
