I had the nightbreakers fitted, but didn't make a massive difference. I changed to hids after reading various threads on the subject and haven't regretted it. They've made a massive difference, simple to fit, no problems so far and I would definately miss the difference in brightness if I went back to normal bulbs. The nightbreakers are a good place to start though if you really don't want to go down the hid route

Is there a specific reason for not wanting HID's? They are as easy to fit as changing the bulb anyway and make a MASSIVE difference.

    - standard vectra lights are useless and hids seem to be the only way to go, there a doddle to fit and aren't expensive anymore

Imo your wasting your time and money buying uprated bulbs

Pretty easy to take out, I'm going to replace mine with the standard bulbs when mot comes round. Takes about 30 mins to swap back over as you don't cut or adjust any of the original wiring. As people have said, if you want a noticable difference then hids are the only way to go, and as the kit's are getting cheaper you'd be better off buying a kit than just new bulbs that won't make much difference anyway.
