    Default Intermittent warning lights

Every now and again, usually when performing a slow speed manoeuvre such as parking I get two amber warnings on the dash, one is a steering wheel with an exclamation mark next to it and the other is the traction control I think, (car having a skid). It has no obvious effect on the car and goes away when I turn it off and back on again. Any ideas please?

you need to get this looked at as there maybe a small prob with your steering motor ,

if its just electrical you going to be ok with just a update but there is a list of things it could be

When this happens, put one of the indicators on
You should find it will not cancel
If this is the case, then the CIM module has failed

Otherwise it may be one of the front hubs / sensors

It would also be a good idea just to check the power steering level!.

The hint in this fault is the Traction Control warning light also coming on
Starts off intermittent, then happens every time you turn left or right
Confirmation is completed by putting that indicator on, which refuses to cancel

    No, check both front hubs
From memory the nearside one has a sensor on it, and this is the one that may have failed, which gives this fault message; power steering and traction control

Finally got around to checking the power steering fluid and it was below the minimum mark (no signs of leaks) so topped it up. I now have same warning lights but in a different order.

    1. Traction control light illuminates on its own now and it's almost as if it's on a timer because it will come on after about 30 minutes of driving.
    2. Turning the car off and on again will not reset it like it used to when both warning lights came on together, however if left overnight it does go out but then we're back to no.1 again.
    3. Occasionally the steering wheel light will join the party especially if it involves slow speed manoeuvring such as parking and the steering goes a little heavier. However steering wheel light will extinguish and leave the traction control light illuminated.
    4. So far the steering wheel light has not illuminated on it's own.

This is now driving me nuts
