    Default rear level of signum

looked at both sides of rear of signum and gap between top of tyre and wheel arch differs by about 5 mm, i did have my shocks changed a few months ago and am now wondering whether only 1 side was changed by garage as initially only 1 side was leaking.

    any ideas many thanks

ok.. first thing to do is to jack up the back of the car and have a look at the shocks, they should both look to be the same age, if not then you may be correct in your assumption that only one was done? Have you measured from the wheelarch to the ground as well instead of just to the tyre.. take a pic of the shocks if you can and post them here, the guys here will give more advice, but you need to be sure before you go back to the fitters with your concerns.

Get it on level ground to measure, and have you anything heavy in the boot such as a toolbox?

I would say that shocks wont increase or decrease the height that the car sits from the ground, thats the job that the springs are there for. ( unless you have coilovers fitted ) Have you checked for a broken bottom/top coil on both rear springs.
