Default Snooper Lynx. Best money I ever spent!

As title after having a few close shaves by being simply stupid and complacent I thought the time has come to get something to remind my senile old mind when I'm getting a bit naughty.

Had a look about and liked the look of the Snooper Lynx setup as it doesn't need plugged into your computer and updates live. Also has a natty little feature that if you spot a sneaky camera you can hit a button and it will upload to all Lynx users in the area for six hours. Anyhow I managed to get one from Ebay second hand and paid the £80 odd quid subscription fee for 12 months and went off on holiday for a week.

Well what a brilliant bit of kit it is! It tells you of all the known "high risk" areas or read that as places where "safety" cameras are known to park up and also tells you of all the many other kinds of cameras out there.

Now on my holidays in theory if I had been speeding which of course I wasn't as it's not big and it's not clever but if I had been lets say the Lynx would of saved my *** from two "safety" cameras a Truvelo and several Specs cameras.

It's also quite interesting to see your true speed rather than the over reading speedo in the dash. So all in all even though it's pretty pricey it's not a bad investment for a little extra insurance for you license..

They are worth having to help keep you from 'speeding'

You maybe driving to the road and its condition but that maybe to fast in the eye of the law.

yep and this is the main reason why i invested in a road angel professional connected - with the 2.8's cruising abilities its all too easy to stray over the speed limit at 2.5k on the rev counter in 6th

0-Large smile ......every time it's driven

I have just gone for a Snooper Sapphire. Tried the inforad k2, but it didnt really do the job.

I am planning to cut out a section of my sun visor and mount it there and take a direct power feed to it.

I liked the Lynx, but i couldnt justify the price for what i need.

i have always been tempted to fit such gadgets but do not want anything stuck on top of my dash to attract attention from tea leaves when i am out and about..

I can see the sun visor being an idea but it means having to have it down and i will get fed up with that.. What alternative locations have you guys used to mount such things..?

Can any of these things be wired into the car for power as i wouldn't want it plugged into the fag lighter all the time.

How bout the little inferod k1 ( I think it's that). Is only size of USB stick not fancy but my mate has one n says it never let him down. Can be charged via laptop n car adapt. Mate says he has free lifetime updates to. Got his for £35 off amazon.

You put anywhere in car apparently.
