    Default Machine polisher

    Hi folks

Can you use a rotary machine polisher to just buff a hand waxed car ?? I am thinking of a Silverline LCD display 1200W 180mm Polisher (240v) or buying a kestrel DAS-6 and slowly building up pads polish ect to eventually be able to properly machine polish a car but it would be nice if I could use the polisher as a buffing tool first. If I cannot it might be worth buying a polishing kit like the ones that autobrite are selling with everything I need advice please ?? and thanks in advance

Be very carefull with a rotary if you are not experienced bud, they generate a lot of heat if kept in the same spot for a while and will burn the paint, ild go for the das-6 as its dual action

I bought an Erbauer orbital sander from screwfix for £34.95 + the Meguiars finishing pad + NXT Tech Wax 2.0 from Meg's, works a treat, did the missus' Micra this morning and boy does it look good!!
