    Question Should i....?

    Guys,

    whats your opinion

i had a CR1 on my manual vectra cdti, i now have the estate auto and am wondering if i should put the box on, ive checked with diagnostix and they tell me its fine to fit to the auto

when i took it off my old car it threw one hell of a wobbly! engine managemaent light on, running a little lumpy and i think (from comments from a prev thread) threw the fuel computer out which lead me to run the thing out of fuel.

I need this one too last a verrrrry long time but i enjoyed the power gains from the box,

whats your opinions and what would you do?

    Thanks

    Richard

As if you have to ask!

    It's your car though.

I've had the CR1 and Powerclick Red boxes and have just had a fuel pump problem. I don't think it is related to the tuning box as people such as "Tunit" have been fitting boxes for years without any ill effects. I'm looking at getting a remap though as it seems to be the way forward as there are other areas that are altered and not just more fuel pumped into the common rail.

You had problems when you took it off Gizmo?

I've not heard of this before.

I have a service due soon, I'd better take mine off inadvance just in case.

i would reccomend a re map going on all the evidence i have read on here. Think you would get smoother results and if you went to the 888 centre i think you can get an actual vauxhall aproved map. worth speaking to mike at diagnostix as well or jayson at chipped uk for re map prices.
