alternator decided to pack up

well what started as a day out to lakeside ,turned into a bad day . driving along the battery light decides to come on . i thought here we go whats up . then the wife says its been on the last couple off days forgot to tell you
well we end up on the hard shoulder waiting for the aa. he comes and said the alternator is knackered and you were just running the battery down . so with his help we get home .now it is 12.00 and with trax and camping looming the air . ive got to get the car fixed . phoned the place and the guy said if you can get the car here ill sort it out today . well went and got a new battery fitted it and dropped it off .this was about 1.30 .he called just after 3 to say car is ready .
well now the car is better but the wallet is lighter still glad it did not happen on way or at trax / thats my moan for today ..khalid
