stainless exhaust

hi guys im wanting a stainless exhaust on my sri cdti 150 but have never owned a diesel before so was wondering if it sounds good and also if it has power benefits like a petrol car does. also has anyone got any pics or videos of theres? so i can see and hear what they are like cheers ben.

you do get power increases mate but get a resonated system as its a diesel at the ed of the day.

Sometimes you get power increases, sometimes it stays the same and sometimes it's less. How would you actually know that it's increased the power? Not usually enough difference to 'feel'. Just enjoy the fact that at least one part of your car is going to last for a reasonable length of time.

a quite system.
you get a resonated system and a non resonated system which is loud.

The thing is,the exhaust systems on these cars seem to last yonks,the back boxes are double skined and can last ten years or more,diesel exhausts last longer anyway because they tend not to suffer from condensation inside and dont run as hot as a petrol.

Tha extra power you get from a stainless is neglible anyway.

what you after - noise/power/looks ? i had the back box on my 1.9 cdti removed,then fitted a stainless y-section ,with twin exit pipes. no more noise .no more power,but looks better.

Original exhaust system still looks new on my V6. Doesn't seem to be much point to spending hundreds on a new system IMO.
