    Default Smoke and judder

    I had a juddering at low revs and a slight lumpiness on tick over,but also smoke evy now and then,but regular,so i replaced the 3rd injector wiring for the new type,i just went for a drive and its still the same,it seems like its a bit flat at the bottom of the revs,then picks up and blows out a fair bit of smoke,i'm assuming its unburnt diesel.
    And while driving along steady,its still lumpy and puts out smoke again,every now and then,even though the car still goes well.
    I have only noticed the smoke since removing the insides of my dpf,as it lets everything out and now stops it going into limp mode
    Does anyone know what it could be.

    split vaccume pipes or egr valve?

    I have blanked off the egr valve,would it still give this problem if it was faulty ?

    Thanks for all the imput
    I unplugged the egr valve,there wasn't any difference really,so i decided to take the boost sensor off and clean it again,i only cleaned it about 6 months ago,and i found it was lagged up again,the car is much better now
    It may have been down to the fact that i had my tuning box on,that the boost sensor got clogged up so quick

    how many miles has car covered? what engine is it, i am guessing its the 120/150 1.9

    try redex/de-coking
    clean egr with carb cleaner
    clean boost sensor (which you have done)
    change fuel filter if not replaced recently
    check for splits in vacuum pipes and turbo hose

    Hi Paul,car is a 1.9 150 bhp with 90k
    I stripped the egr when i first bought it and unsiezed it,took it off again today and its still working and only sooty,not blocked up like before,and i have blanked it off with the fiat gasket as of a month ago.
    boost sensor cleaned.
    Fuel filter not done yet,to do list.
    Had a good look as best i could for any split pipes vac pipes,i did think i may have a cracked intercooler or split hose,but nothing obvious and the car picked up at about 3,000 rpm.
    Car is running fine now i cleaned the boost sensor,and i have left the egr unplugged anyway .
    The inlet could do with changing anyway,as the bar is held in place by a diy jobby of mine,and when i had issues of limp mode before,i thought it was the inlet control unit getting stuck,so i broke off the plastic nipple on number 3 cylinder part of the inlet that drives the bar for the swirl valves,but its been fine up until now,and i have taken out the insides of the dpf on saturday,so that should stop it going into limp mode,as that is what was causing it in the beggining before all this thread i think.
