    Default dti intercooler pipe

    Hi all

Got a cut about 5inches long in the top hose to turbo. This was causing EML to come on and enter limp mode.

went to vauxhall who want £90 for the hose and includes the metal tubing that sits on the top of the rocket cover

is there anywhere else i can get one from cheaper, or somehow repair the hose?

    Thanks

I wouldn't try a repair m8, only on a temporary basis, the hose is too stressed to have a repair done and last long term.
Something is wrong there though, you don't need to change the metal tube, which is a separate part, you just want the rubber one.
Mine was changed under warranty by Vx when mine split, so I am sure it is available on it's own, I would not expect it to be much above £20-£30 at the most.
You can not buy an aftermarket direct replacement.
But you could make one up with a couple of different Samco hoses for example, probably gona coat around £50-£60 or so though, but will be much, much better quality, and will last the life of the car.

I'm afraid I haven't m8, it was a warranty job, and I never saw any paperwork for it.

Hi b21, I talked to the local dealer and asked them to check that you cannot just get the hose but apparantly vx changed it a while ago so that you can only buy the whole lot including the aluminium pipe that goes down behind the radiator. I just took the hose off the top and fitted that. The part no. is 93185363 I was qoute £76 + vat but got some discount.

That's a rip off, you SHOULD be able to get them separately, I don't think the whole lot was changed on mine, but that's not to say the parts didn't all come as one.
Personally, for that money, I would NOT waste it on Vx parts, I'd make a Samco hose up, much better quality, and cheaper !!!
