    Default Moisture barrier question..

Hi guys, I've got a silly question.

I'm looking to do some sound proofing to my doors and to do this I've got to get to the inside of the outer door.

Does anyone know if the moisture barrier is removable/refittable or do I have to just tear it out and reseal them somehow?

    OR is it absolutely necessary?

Ive heard theories that the seal is necessary for the side impact sensors though how true that is I dunno.

Eventually I'll be sealing by means of loads more proofing anyway :-)

    Thanks for the help!

if you mean the plastic sheeting- not really that nec. but if you use a blade and cut round 3/4 of it leaving the bottom attatched just tape it back up.

if its foamy type sheeting use a blade and carefully peel back a corner and trim through the glue/sticky tape etc just use double sided tape to refit.

You should be able to carefully peel the plastic sheet off but would need a contact adhesive to glue it back down.
