    Default Hired Car

I had the pleasure of driving from Standsted Airport up to Norwich yesterday and the company had hired a car for the trip. The car was a Fiat Punta, enough said!! For a new car it was Cr*p. the suspension sounded like it had no rubber in the bushes, the noise from the tyres was terrible and it would not pull the skin of my hot chocolate. You really had to allow about 2 miles of clear road to overtake a tractor/truck. What it was good at was the petrol economy.

Anyone who is getting fed up with their Veccie should drive one of these for a few days or even hours, they will soon appreciate their Vectra after that.

The motor had only 8000 miles on the clock, should stand up to hard driving better than it did/does?

Is that not just the law when you get a hire car..........

You feel as if everyone is watching you and saying "look at that child in that hire car"........

Yes I did in fact and I think it had seen me, but as I was driving a Fiat Punto they would take pity on me. I hope.

There were a lot of cars speeding past me, some at well over 90-100mph or perhaps it felt that way in the punto.
